Dasha Weisbrem: «A Little Bit About Me…»

The pseudonym «Dasha Weisbrem» is a nod to my family history. I can trace my family lineage back to the 17th century when the Weisbrems lived in Austria. In the 19th century, my ancestors resided in Białystok (Poland), and later, between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, they lived in Grodno and Minsk (Belarus).

I was born in 1991 in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation. There I graduated from university with a degree in advertising, marketing, and PR.

For a long time, I lived and worked in Moscow and the Moscow region. Now I live in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

I’ve been passionate about painting for as long as I can remember. I’ve always read extensively and immersed myself in art – visiting the Hermitage, the Prado, the Albertina, the Ludwig Museum (Cologne), the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna)… Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam, and beyond. Exploring art galleries and exhibitions remains one of my greatest joys and my primary hobby.

I began painting in 2015.
